Kashif S. Shaikh, MD, has been appointed Fellow in Osteoporosis, Metabolic Bone Disorders for the academic year 2021-2022, and started his fellowship on July 1st, 2021. After graduating from Aga Khan University Medical College, Karachi, Pakistan, he completed his internal medicine residency training at the University of Texas Health Science Center, Houston, Texas, in 2012. In the following four years, Shaikh worked as a hospitalist with an academic practice group in Central Florida and then served as Chief Resident at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine, Orlando, Florida. In 2017, he moved back to Houston to attend a Rheumatology Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine, which he completed in 2019. He then moved to Washington University in St. Louis where he completed a second Fellowship in Allergy and Immunology before being appointed to his current training position in Bone and Mineral Diseases. He will rotate with our clinical faculty in the Bone Health Program clinics and engage research-based faculty for possible research projects. Please, join us in welcoming Dr. Shaikh.
