Nicola Napoli, MD, PhD, was elected to the American Society of Bone and Mineral Research (ASBMR) Council (Board of Directors). ASBMR is the premier professional organization promoting research, education, and patient care in the musculoskeletal and mineral metabolism field internationally. The ASBMR Council is vested with the powers and authority to manage all the activities and policies of the organization. Napoli is an adjunct research assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Bone and Mineral Diseases at Washington University School of Medicine and professor in the Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes at Campus Bio-Medico University, Rome, Italy. After training in our division between 2002 and 2007, Napoli has maintained close links with our institution through collaborations with division faculty, co-authorship in publications, shared trainees, and educational activities.
