Division faculty Gabriel Mbalaviele, PhD, has been appointed to serve a 6-year term as a member of the Skeletal Biology Development and Disease Study Section, Center for Scientific Review, National Institutes of Health. Members are selected on the basis of their competence and achievement in their scientific discipline as evidenced by the quality of research accomplishments, publications in scientific journals, and other significant scientific achievements and honors. Service on a study section also requires mature judgment, objectivity and ability to work effectively in a group. We congratulate Dr. Mbalaviele for this distinguished honor and wish him the best in this new endeavor.
